About the designer

Aynur Washington found inspiration for her designs from the ancient history of her homeland in western Turkey and from her own life experiences as a woman living and working and surviving around the world:

She fuses her Turkish heritage with her American and European experiences to create innovative designs that are sophisticated yet sensible.

“When the concept of ‘Hera Heaven’ formed itself in my mind and heart, I was profoundly influenced by the mythologies of the Old World and wanted to connect the wisdom these ancients had to offer with the highest quality, design, and style that our modern lives have to offer. As we are remiss to forget the past, we are simultaneously charged to care for the future. Hera Heaven incorporates these eternal concepts.”
